Red blood salt: ferricyanide, potassium ferricyanide, potassium cyano derivative of iron, red blood salt forming crystals. It is used in textile production as a dye or a photographic technique as an attenuator . Prepared by the oxidation of potassium ferrocyanide (yellow blood salt).

D as Daniela

Dextrin: dextrin, products of incomplete hydrolysis of starch . Amorphous colorless or yellowish substance soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol. The iodine dye differently depending on chain length: achrodextriny (4-6 glucose units) are not color at all, chains composed of 8-12 glucose units with red (erythrodextriny) to purple (amylodextriny) and dextrin composed of 30-35 glucose units stains blue as amylose. They are used for the production of adhesives and pastes, when adjusting the paper, textiles and the food industry as thickening agents.

Lead: The minium oxide, lead-olovičitý, ortoolovičitan lead. Orange-red to bright red powder. Used as anticorrosive pigmnet into base oil painting metals. Dissolving in nitric acid (1:1) to obtain a solution of lead dioxide and lead salts. The pyrotechnics are used together with powdered metals in termites.
