Tools: beaker, glass rod, tweezers, spoon
Chemicals: glass of water (aqueous solution of Na 2 SiO 3 ), copper sulfate, potassium
heptahydrate, nickel sulfate pentahydrate, cobalt sulphate heptahydrate, magnesium sulphate heptahydrate, ferric sulfate or other soluble metal salts
Procedure: into a beaker or better in a glass container (a small aquarium) pour a solution of water glass and dilute 1:1. Then the container toss in different places few crystals of the above salts.
Crystals are seeds from which soon begin to grow beautiful flowers of various colors.
Na 2 SiO 3 + MeSO 4 -> MeSiO 3 + Na 2 SO 4
All beauty is nothing but the result of double reaction between the water and glass
metal sulfates. Crystals soluble salt gradually dissolves and double entry formed by the reaction insoluble silicates.
